The new Suzuki Grand Vitara Sport is set to hit Australian shores this month and will be available for purchase from mid-October, the Suzuki manufacturer has stated.
Production of the Suzuki Grand Vitara range suffered some delays and faced stock constraints due to the tsunami in Japan earlier this year , but with the arrival of the new Sport model, the marque is back at full production.
"We remain on track for another record year and the Suzuki Grand Vitara range - now boosted with the arrival of the outstanding Sport - is a vital part of our lineup," remarked Tony Devers, general manager of Suzuki Australia.
The new Suzuki Grand Vitara Sport has a starting price of $31,990 drive away and comes with hill descent control and hill hold control as standard - boosting its off-road credentials and allowing it to perform well even in off-road or steep conditions.
It complements the other variants in the Suzuki Grand Vitara range, which include the Prestige, DDiS and Urban models.
Earlier this year, Suzuki was applauded for its green credentials by the Royal Automobile Association, which hailed its Suzuki Alto and Suzuki Kizashi models in its 2011 Cost of Vehicle Ownership survey for their low fuel economy.
