Suzuki Swift Sport coming to Australia

February 2012

The latest in the line of Suzuki models will be coming to Australian shores over the coming weeks, the manufacturer has announced.

Showrooms are expected to welcome the Suzuki Swift Sport by March, although pricing for the car is yet to be released.

Suzuki Australia general manager Tony Devers explained that the model demonstrates an evolution of the great models within the Suzuki Swift series.

He continued: "The Swift Sport is the sporty flagship of the Swift series and handling has been heightened as well as all other driving attributes.

"And there have been no compromises in Suzuki's pursuit of higher levels of refinement and environmental performance."

A number of events are planned to promote the new model, including a full marketing campaign that centres round the handling of the car.

One of the highlights is a hot lap contest, which will involve not only celebrities, but Suzuki customers from all over Australia.

Suzuki exhibited at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, where it demonstrated the REGINA, a next-generation global compact car that weighs just 730kg.

The manufacturer has been successful in its effort to improve the aerodynamic performance of the vehicle, reducing its drag coefficient by ten per cent compared to current models.

The Suzuki Swift is currently in stock at Peter Warren Suzuki dealership in Sydney. Visit our Suzuki showroom to test drive all Suzuki models.
